Los Angeles, CA - September 15, 2009 - Designer Angelo Surmelis and Modus Furniture International, jointly announced today that they have signed a multi-year deal, where Surmelis will design multiple bedroom collections to be manufactured, marketed and sold by MODUS under the angelo:HOME banner.
“We spend so much time in our bedrooms, and quite often I hear from my clients that it’s one of the last rooms they think about when putting their home together,” remarked Angelo. “And, Modus has been looking at our bedrooms and all that they can be for years. I felt that this was the perfect partnership in the world of bedroom style since we’re both passionate about bringing the best to a room that often gets overlooked. Modus and I have strong beliefs about style, construction and value. My new line was inspired by classic vintage looks that I have always been drawn to, yet wanted to update to fit the way we live in our bedrooms today, solving our storage and media needs along with bringing the best style to a room you will want to spend a bit more time in. I hope this makes getting out of bed on the weekend slightly more difficult… in a good way!”

Under the terms of the agreement, Surmelis will design multiple suites, with the first two 10-piece bedroom collections set to launch through multiple distribution channels in the second quarter of 2010. The line will then expand to five or more collections by the end of 2010. Initial retail prices for a 4-piece bedroom set will range from $1,499 - $2,499.
