Los Angeles, CA - October 12, 2009 - Modus Furniture International (IHFC Main 931) will showcase Designer Angelo Surmelis’ first bedroom collection for his angelo:HOME brand at the High Point Furniture Market October 17 - 22, 2009.
“I am a sucker for a good old fashioned Hollywood movie,” remarked Surmelis. “You know the kind… great writing, old fashioned movie stars and the type of sets that you wish you could live in. Well, that for me is the idea behind my MARLOWE bedroom collection with Modus. I wanted to create my version of Hollywood glamour and style with a simple, contemporary, yet classic bedroom collection. Curl up with the Marlowe Collection, watch your favorite film and know that your real life is giving Hollywood a run for its money.”

On display at High Point will be items from the angelo:HOME Marlowe 7-piece collection, which includes: full, queen, king, and California king bed options, nightstands, dresser, mirror, accent mirror, chest, and a media chest.
The Marlowe includes tropical mahogany solid wood and cherry wood veneers and will be available in two finish applications: Cinnamon/Black and Chocolate Brown/Black. Drawer boxes are sanded and stained solid wood, with front and back English dovetail joints, with full extension, ball bearing drawer glides. The upholstered shelter bed includes a warm bonded leather cover. The MSRP for a 5-piece bedroom will be between $1,999 and $2,499.
The angelo:HOME bedroom collections will be launched through multiple distribution channels in the second quarter of 2010. The line will then expand to five or more collections by the end of 2010.
angelo:HOME launched this year with a 31-piece upholstered furniture collection including chairs, couches, loveseats, and ottomans.
